Hard Coat Anodizing

H&W Global offers hard coat anodizing and soft coat anodizing as a part of our industrial metal plating services.

Hard Coat Anodizing Line

The anodizing process changes the surface of aluminum to protect it against further oxidation, also making it wear-resistant. To increase corrosion resistance and provide surfaces which will ensure satisfactory adherence of paint and the organic finishes, this process is primarily applicable to aluminum and aluminum alloy parts. The hard coat anodizing coating may be dyed if specified.

The sulfuric anodizing process has been used typically to increase, by the formation of a dense aluminum oxide, surface hardness and resistance to abrasion and corrosion of aluminum and aluminum-alloy parts. Careful consideration should be given when using the hard coat anodizing process on highly-stressed parts because of the resultant marked lowering of fatigue performance and on parts with sharp corners and edges where chipping may result.

Proven process-control inspections ensure the high level of quality H&W Global Industries consistently delivers on their hard coating anodizing process.
